If Morrissey, Bono, and Michael Hutchence had a late-night recording session in Springsteen’s basement, they might have birthed Even Thieves. Equal parts New Wave and rock ‘n’ roll, Even Thieves’ upbeat melodies aren’t easily pegged. The Chicago-based six-piece have their cherished influences, but still craft a lush, singular sound. Even Thieves listen to the beating of their hearts, the loudest of sounds, producing the soundtrack to lost days and stolen nights.
They will be playing with Indie Pop New Wave Rock band Nightmare of You’s 10th anniversary show at Double Door January 9th.
